This novel was completed on June 14. Thank you all for your support. It helped me keep writing until the end.
Synopsis:
Everyone in Haigouzi Village said that after Zhang Yuqing got a fever, she'd been burned into an idiot.
But she only grew bolder. She went beachcombing every day, and even cooked and ate seafood that other fishermen sold for high prices.
She ate razor clams, clams, sea snails, giant prawns, abalone, and wild yellow croaker. That girl certainly didn't hold back.
The countryside was desperately poor, and they still didn't have electricity.
Everyone else was content to throw a few small fish and crabs into a pot and boil them together with a little salt.
But Zhang Yuqing steamed, boiled, stir-fried, and deep-fried her food, using all eighteen culinary techniques to make delicious, fragrant dishes. The villagers smelled the food every day and couldn't help feeling hungry and drooling.
And for some reason, she started looking after two children. They called her Auntie, and she actually worked as a nanny in the countryside, earning sixty yuan a month!
No wonder she stopped going out to sea!
Looking after two kids must be a lot more comfortable than fishing, right?
Later, she moved to the city and became the factory director's wife.
In the 1980s, Wanchen City had a struggling old toy factory, Factory No. 9, that was on the verge of closing. The leadership ordered Chen Beisheng to turn it around.
Everyone knew it was a mess: the pressure was immense, and the responsibility heavy. One wrong move could leave a thousand employees unemployed.
Who could have guessed that after Chen Beisheng hired Zhang Yuqing as a nanny, orders started coming in, benefactors appeared, factory blueprints stopped going missing, the thief was caught, and his eldest brother, who had gone missing while serving as a maritime police officer, was found.
Wait!
Was his innocent, kind little nanny actually a little different from what she seemed?
P.S. Most of the early story follows the heroine by the seaside, enjoying a life of good food and leisure. Most of the later story is about her life in the city.
The main story is complete.

Here's the new novel:
Buying a House in the Millennium: Reborn
Synopsis:
In her previous life, Wu Yanhong and her husband spent their whole lives in a cramped apartment building owned by the plastic factory.
Reborn in the year 2000, she returned to the age of forty.
Wu Yanhong was fed up with her husband, who favored sons over daughters, knew how to play cards but never save money to buy a house. She decided she wouldn't pin her hopes on him anymore.
She took her fraternal twin daughters, just fifteen years old and destined to drift into unhappy marriages when they grew up, and left home. She set up a breakfast stall and worked herself to the bone to earn money.
No matter what else happened in this life, she and her daughters had to have a home of their own, a place where they could put down roots!
Theme: A relaxed mind makes for a healthy body.
