Gu Yan moves away from her old city with her mother and stays at one of her mother's best friend's homes. There, she reunites with her childhood friend Lin Lan. Lin Lan looks after Gu Yan at every turn at school, sending a crowd of shippers wild over their pairing.
One day, one of Lin Lan's close friends finds out that the two are living together. Soon, a popular post appears on the ship forum: "Shocking! The campus heartthrob and the top student are living together!"
