I wrote this fanfic based on Mo Xiang. I originally planned to end the first chapter on a cliffhanger, since the story itself is rather subdued, and spelling everything out would have ruined its charm. Later, I figured that if I was going to post it for people to read, I should see it through. Writing and reading are different experiences, after all, so I added a not-so-great ending that at least makes things clear. I feel sorry for the characters I created. They all seem like schemers, forever plotting and exhausting themselves. This piece really was a labor of love. It's quite pleasant to read, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's not much of a fun read.
