Guns and Roses

Lately, the little princess of the Su family has been causing a huge uproar, all because...

Her father broke up her relationship with her boyfriend.

Su Lianyue cried and made a scene, insisting on staying with her poor student boyfriend. She even tried to elope with him.

Her father was so furious he nearly exploded, so he found a reliable bodyguard to keep an eye on her.

Su Lianyue sat on the windowsill of her second-floor bedroom, throwing a tantrum:

Let me go see my boyfriend, or else... I'll jump!

Downstairs, the bodyguard the head of the Su family had hired watched her coolly.

He was tall and long-legged, with a solid, powerful build and a handsome face.

His sharp features and imposing presence were set off by the cigarette dangling from his lips. He leaned back with his arms folded and said lazily to the little princess:

"Go ahead and jump. I'm great at first aid."

Su Lianyue: ...?

*

That hardheaded, impossible bodyguard made Su Lianyue cry in frustration several times.

Over and over, in the dead of night, she bit her quilt, angry and aggrieved:

One day, I'm going to get that bastard bodyguard under control!

And later, she did get that bastard bodyguard well and truly under control.

In the literal, physical sense. :)

*

At first, the bastard bodyguard wouldn't yield to either force or persuasion.

Whether Su Lianyue cried, pleaded, threw a tantrum, or threatened him, he remained cold and aloof, not even twitching an eyebrow.

But later...

Whenever Su Lianyue looked even a little pitiful, the bodyguard would gently touch the corner of her eye with his rough, slender hand and soothe her in a low voice:

"Don't cry. I'll give you anything you want."

Su Lianyue's eyes lit up, and she smiled triumphantly.

The bodyguard then blew out a ring of smoke:

"Except letting you go see that ex-boyfriend."

Su Lianyue: ...

How is he my ex-boyfriend now?! Don't break us up without asking me!

A spoiled, willful, sweet and silly heroine x a shameless old rogue (?) of a domineering hero

Please note:

1. Both leads are virgins. There's more to the heroine's ex-boyfriend than meets the eye.

2. This is shamelessly cheesy romance. Also known as The Bodyguard at the Young Lady's Side [not really]. Basically, it's cheesy, old-fashioned, and gloriously Mary Sue.
