When the Other Shore Blooms

She removes the lock from her golden cage

A petal falls upon her shoulder

The love she wants

Is not dawn and dusk spent carefully tended in a cage

But two trees standing side by side

Their roots growing freely in the soil

Dancing together when the wind blows, bearing the rain together

Neither needing to look up at the other's height

Only standing on the same horizon

Sharing the seasons with each other

Theme: Aspire upward.
