The Male Lead's Mount Quits

Lan Fei read a book in which, after the hero led his companions in wiping out the demons, his Azure Dragon sacrificed itself. The hero nourished it with his own core essence, allowing it to return to an egg and be reborn. The ending was warm and happy.

When Lan Fei woke up, her tail swishing, she had become a little Azure Dragon that had just hatched.

...Did the book ever say it was female?

This is the modern world.

Waiting for Lan Fei was a hefty volume called Rules and Regulations for Managing Nonhumans, as well as... the hero’s intense study regime after she unexpectedly transformed into human form.

Lan Fei studied rules, knowledge, and magic every day. She was swamped with schoolwork.

The hero built Dragon Island and recruited a group of male demons to stand by for her, hoping she would shoulder the responsibility of ensuring the dragon race’s continuation.

Lan Fei was shocked. She was a mount, and all her descendants would be mounts too?

The little Azure Dragon immediately refused, left a resignation letter, and ran away from home.

The hero soon caught her and brought her back. “Don’t like them? Then when you’re in heat, I’ll have to handle it myself.”

Later, after Lan Fei nearly drained him dry, she finally understood what was going on.

Unable to bear seeing him suffer, she said, “How about we bring the male demons back?”

The hero laughed angrily. “I’ve worked myself to the bone for your dragon clan, and you dare say that!”

Three little dragon eggs bounced over and surrounded her. “Don’t abandon Daddy!”

Lan Fei didn’t dare.
