A cool and aloof top student with a troubled past, abandoned by his parents as a child because they thought he was a jinx, then taken in by his middle school teacher.
A rebellious boy from a deeply troubled family who clashes with his parents, yet hides his gentle side because of the pressure their careers put on him.
They first meet as tutor and student.
Later, by chance, they attend the same school and end up in the same class, where they gradually grow close.
Through the everyday routines and little troubles of school and life, they slowly get to know each other and open their hearts.
After weathering the years and the changing seasons, they gradually enter each other's hearts, save one another, and eventually fall in love.
From their youth into adulthood, they go through a great deal and do so much for each other. In the end, they live up to their two ardent hearts. The two boys become the most dazzling part of each other's youth and find a place in each other's lives.
"Can you imagine? In a place like that, those disgusting schemes were called freedom."
"I like you. Just you, without any adjectives."
"Don't I seem like an ambitious young man now?" Cheng Yao says proudly.
Guan Chen smiles. "What have you accomplished?"
Cheng Yao thinks for a moment, then looks at him. Guan Chen stands with the light behind him, a dimple forming in his cheek.
"Marry you."
Guan Chen's eyes are beautiful, even more captivating in the sunlight. Those eyes slowly draw closer to him, closer and closer.
"I never dared to imagine you would come into my life."
