As I Gaze, the Flowers Fade in Silence (Originally Titled: Blue Sea, Azure Sky)

Gazing into the night, flowers fall in silence,

Sleeves drawn back, sheer silks, the flowing water seems to understand,

A tearful smile takes in all beneath the heavens,

In drunkenness, the slanting sun departs from the mortal world,

The dreamlike gown trails away,

Only to clasp hands beneath the cherry tree,

Today, I sketch it all again,

Only to find that we were strangers without a word,

In the deep courtyard of the parasol trees,

Do not hide your smile and sorrow away.
