In her second year of wandering the martial world, Ye Zhimian met a young man.
He brewed excellent wine, and Ye Zhimian loved to drink. He needed someone’s help, and she happened to be able to solve his problem. He was an interesting person, so Ye Zhimian decided to travel with him.
One night, they sat on the roof of an inn. The young man held up his cup, his eyes bright as stars, and smiled at her. “A bowl of bamboo-leaf wine, and may you have no worries in this world.”
Ye Zhimian liked seeing him this way. She copied his gesture and drank with him.
That night, they made their wishes:
One wished to travel the martial world, heal the sick, save people, punish the wicked, and help the poor. The other wanted to take revenge and clear old scores, then retire to the mountains.
