Xiuzhu was a panda cub who had just turned six months old, and lately he'd been obsessed with chewing bamboo.

Panda cubs are generally lively and active, and Xiuzhu was no exception.

One day, he dragged a stalk of bamboo along as he played and wrestled with the neighboring panda cub. But by accident, he fell into a puddle, and that was the end of it: he transmigrated.

As soon as he arrived, Xiuzhu saw two enormous pandas beating up some kind of creature in front of him. Every swing of their fists struck like thunder.

Terrified, Xiuzhu shakily bit down on his paw and trembled all over.

The two clan leaders of the Panda Tribe recently found a precious panda cub while out hunting. From then on, their poor yet noble tribe became a tribe of three bears.

This panda was shorter than them, which meant he was still a cub. The rounder ancient panda Weida and the more robust ancient panda Mengshou decided to take good care of him and raise him.

They took Xiuzhu to gaze at the stars: camping in the wilderness;

They took Xiuzhu to enjoy life: beating up dinosaurs;

They took Xiuzhu to experience the lives of the people: instructing the ant tribe to farm;

Xiuzhu looked at the two chubby pandas on either side of him, both cubs just like him, and let out a huge sigh of relief.

Xiuzhu followed Weida and Mengshou home without a second thought.

A year later, Weida earnestly taught Xiuzhu how to grow bigger.

"Xiuxiu, growing gigantic is one of the most powerful weapons our panda clan has for dominating the ancient world. You have to learn it," Weida said solemnly, his paws clasped behind his back.

Xiuzhu hugged his paws and nodded adorably.

"Good. I'll demonstrate it for you first." With that, Weida turned into a giant panda.

Looking down at Xiuzhu, he asked, "Did you understand?"

Xiuzhu honestly shook his head.

"...Maybe I need to explain the theory, too." After a moment of silence, Weida came to this conclusion.

He returned to his normal panda size. "You just have to really want to become a giant panda. Got it?"

Xiuzhu: "..."

The little chubby bird hatched in a parasol tree, traveled far and wide, and made a home wherever it went. Eventually, it arrived at the sect known as Reincarnation Hell.

Carrying a little bundle on its back, the little chubby bird traveled for two days and three nights before finally finding a suitable place to live.

And so the little chubby bird happily settled in the parasol tree in the sect leader's backyard.

The little chubby bird liked fresh, sweet, crisp vegetables, and as it happened, the big black duck sect leader loved growing vegetables, especially vibrant, spirit-filled greens.

The first time the little chubby bird excitedly brought a little bamboo basket it had woven to trade for vegetables, the result was...

"Report to the sect leader: The suspect is a chubby little bird. What should we do with it?" The puppet guarding the vegetable garden caught him and carried him in front of the big black duck sect leader.

Luckily, the chubby little bird played dead, and the sect leader let him go.

Having narrowly escaped, the little chubby bird worked up the courage to try again, but was caught once more!

So frustrating!

Later, after the puppets started turning a blind eye to him, the little chubby bird successfully made it into the vegetable garden. But why were the vegetables running away?

The big black duck sect leader watched the little chubby bird failing to catch the greens and fell into deep thought.

Should he turn a blind eye? What a dilemma.

About the sect:

The sect is in terrible shape. Apart from its abundant spiritual energy and beautiful surroundings, it has nothing going for it!

The sect has not recruited a single disciple in a thousand years. The sect leader has four fellow disciples, each of whom has lived for tens of thousands of years.

As the years passed, those who knew how powerful the sect was gradually died, and Reincarnation Hell slowly faded from everyone's memory.

None of the fellow disciples are human. They are all spirit beasts, and they remain in Reincarnation Hell to find warmth in their long lives.

Five couples in total

Main couple: A chubby little bird who persistently weaves small baskets to trade for vegetables, the pursued, VS a sect leader who is a phoenix but is mistaken for a duck, and worries every day, the pursuer

Couple 2: An outgoing, confident jiao dragon who thinks he is a true dragon, the pursued VS a steady, shameless true dragon who really is a true dragon but pretends to be a jiao, the pursuer

Couple 3: A proud but softhearted wolf king, the pursued VS a considerate, gentle sheepdog, the pursuer

Couple 3: A white mouse who loves spirit rice, the pursued VS a black cat who earns money every day to buy spirit rice for the mouse, the pursuer

Couple 4: A Western dragon egg that refuses to hatch VS an Eastern dragon who is lonely and wonders why his beloved still hasn't come out, the pursuer
