Mu Yaozhi was the most beloved junior apprentice sister on Shengyang Mountain.
Her usually strict master couldn't bear to scold her, her martial uncles and aunts were always giving her rare magical treasures, and her senior brothers and sisters doted on her as if she were the moon among the stars.
One day, Mu Yaozhi had a very long dream.
In it, she was bound to an altar and a wisp of her soul was forcibly torn out of her, the pain searing like boiling oil.
Below the altar stood familiar faces, each gazing through her at another woman.
That woman was her master's only daughter, the most talented senior apprentice sister on Shengyang Mountain.
Seventeen years ago, she had sealed the great demon Luo Qingshi with her primordial spirit, securing lasting peace for the human world. She had become the irreplaceable moonlight in everyone's heart.
And Mu Yaozhi was nothing more than a vessel used to nurture that senior sister's soul.
Mu Yaozhi wanted to forget the nightmare, but after waking, she suddenly began hearing the thoughts of everyone in the sect.
So everything in her dream was true...

One night, when the stars shifted in strange patterns, a fire of unknown origin destroyed the senior sister's body.
As everyone on Shengyang Mountain grieved, the once-spoiled junior apprentice sister suddenly changed her ways.
She became sweet, obedient, and considerate, like the warm winter sun, dispelling the gloom in everyone's heart without asking for anything in return.
They felt guilty. They regretted what they'd done. They could no longer bear to treat their junior apprentice sister as a vessel to nurture the senior sister's soul for her resurrection.
To make amends, they would give all their love to their junior apprentice sister!
One day, the great demon sealed in the forbidden grounds behind the mountain broke free and casually kidnapped their beloved junior apprentice sister.
The people of Shengyang Mountain charged into the demon realm without a second thought, vowing to rescue her.
But there they found the great demon, who should have been terrifyingly vicious, lovingly fixing the hair of their cherished junior apprentice sister.
And their junior apprentice sister was tying little tufts in the demon's fox tail.
The people of Shengyang Mountain: ???
A sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside junior apprentice sister x a love-struck fox demon
Theme: Love yourself.
