Your Boyfriend Is Mine [Esports]

An Huai met Shen Wenyue during his stuttering, self-conscious teenage years.

Because of Shen Wenyue's promise, "I'll protect you," An Huai tried hard to follow in his footsteps, from high school to college, and from real life to the world of gaming.

He even did as Shen Wenyue asked, giving up the submachine gun he was best at and becoming Shen Wenyue's "exclusive" medic, helping him with his livestreams.

Fans shipped the two of them like crazy, but Shen Wenyue never gave them a clear response.

Just when An Huai thought things would always be this way between them, Shen Wenyue suddenly went solo and announced he was joining a pro team. He declared that he was straight as an arrow and didn't mention An Huai at all.

At the same time, An Huai stopped streaming.

After becoming a pro team's substitute, Shen Wenyue realized An Huai was avoiding him.

He thought An Huai would come back to his side before long, just like before.

But a month passed, and An Huai still hadn't contacted him.

Shen Wenyue panicked.

For the first time, he reached out to An Huai, only to learn that An Huai had joined top-tier pro team IHF as a starting player, under the identity of A God, once the best submachine gun player on the server, the legendary veteran who had supposedly quit the game three years ago.

The whole internet erupted. Shen Wenyue rushed into the IHF clubhouse to snatch An Huai back, only to see An Huai kissing another man with his back turned to him.

He wanted to rush over and separate them, but froze at the other man's look.

It was Cheng Shuo, his half-brother, IHF's current captain, and the widely acknowledged world's top sniper.

Shen Wenyue was consumed with rage.

Cheng Shuo once had a shy, adorable teammate.

The day before he planned to meet the boy and confess his feelings in person, his teammate stopped logging in for good.

Only three years later did he discover that the boy had become someone else's teammate, someone else's boyfriend.

Then he'd just have to steal him away.

#Not his boyfriend? Then he's mine anyway#

- The game is inspired by various shooting games, with plenty of original worldbuilding. You don't need to have played them to enjoy the story.

- I thought it over and changed the setting back. I'm going to steal my brother's boyfriend (not really). There is an amnesia trope.

- No real-life inspirations. This is a writing exercise as I get back into the swing of things.
