When I was eleven, in the crush of people at King's Cross Station, my mother's right hand clutched my arm so tightly you'd have thought she was afraid of losing my right forearm, not me.
A girl about my age rushed into the stone wall in front of us along with her luggage trolley. Just then, she leaned toward me and whispered urgently and confidently in my ear:
"Hayley, remember this: stay away from the arrogant and the cowardly, and from spoiled children. Never forget it."
I nodded along, pretending to be entirely convinced, in time with the rise and fall of my mother's chest. That didn't mean I disrespected the girl or thought too highly of myself. I just knew those weren't words of wisdom born from her own life experience. They were the so-called natural wisdom her medium, who could only fiddle with colored glass pieces, had casually uttered the previous night after three glasses of rum.

Starting another new story. I've been reading first-person novels, and suddenly felt like writing one to practice. I also love the melodramatic second-chance romance trope, so I'll write as inspiration strikes, since I don't have an outline. It won't be very long.
A note in advance:
There is no romance between Lu and Tang in this story.
Although the story is told in the first person, the original character has her own strengths and flaws. Her views of the original characters don't represent the author's opinions.
Theme: It is rare to find two people who truly love each other.
Oh my god, it's so beautiful. I thought I would smile when I saw such a beautiful and sweet text, but also shed tears because I didn't know when I would see the next chapter.
