In college, Shen Mi had a mentor in an online game. He was ruthless, quiet, and often carried her to victory.

After graduation, Shen Mi hit one dead end after another while job hunting. Giving up, she logged into the game and complained to her mentor while wallowing in misery: “The CEOs in real life are all balding creeps!”

Mentor: “What position did you apply for?”

Shen Mi: “Secretary.”

Her mentor sent her an address. “This company is hiring. You could give it a try.”

Shen Mi went, and successfully got the job.

When she got home, she excitedly logged into the game and described her new boss with her limited vocabulary: “My boss is so gentlemanly and gentle! And he’s tall and handsome!!!”

Her mentor coldly sent back a single character: “Oh.”

After that, he never logged on again.

During her second month on the job, Shen Mi was lucky enough to meet the head of the group when he came to inspect the company. Only then did she understand what tall and handsome really meant.

Mentor: “Describe him.”

Inside the cramped elevator, the young head of the company stood beside her. His sleek, simple suit showed off his fine figure, and his handsome profile was impossible to ignore. Shen Mi couldn’t help sneaking a couple of glances at him.

“What are you looking at?” The man beside her turned his eyes toward her, then suddenly laughed. His voice was cold. “Never seen a playboy before?”
