Chi Wei thought that, as someone who was timid and afraid of ghosts, she would be a bottom-tier cannon fodder in an infinite-flow game.
Until she met her guide, Xiao Feng.
The corridor was filled with ghostly wails. Chi Wei clutched the quilt, feeling a little nervous, and Xiao Feng gently rubbed his fluffy cat head against her.
"Go to sleep," he said. "Nothing will happen."
Then Chi Wei closed her eyes.
-
Chi Wei stood among the people who had cleared the level, wearing a white dress and holding a white cat in her arms. She looked confused.
"You survived this instance too?" someone nearby asked, looking her up and down with curiosity.
"Yes." Chi Wei tucked the cat closer to her chest and replied shyly.
The person clicked their tongue, and their gaze shifted. "This instance isn't easy. How did you clear it?"
"Huh?" Chi Wei tilted her head, puzzled. "Wasn't the task just to stay quietly for thirty days?"
The person scoffed and rolled their eyes, saying nothing more.
The people around her also looked at her as if she were an idiot.
-
Chi Wei secretly smuggled her guide, Xiao Feng, a white cat, out of the instance.
After she was discharged from the hospital and returned home, she bought Xiao Feng a pile of canned cat food, but he wouldn't eat any of it.
Chi Wei rubbed his cat head, unusually troubled.
Until one night, Xiao Feng in her bed suddenly transformed into a handsome man with white hair and green eyes.
He still rubbed his fluffy head against her. His eyes had turned into vertical pupils, and his voice was a little hoarse. "I've helped you so many times. Now it's your turn to repay me."
