(The new novel, My Senior Brother Insists We Swear Life and Death to Each Other, is currently updating. My author page also has a master-disciple romance coming soon, After Falling for the Sect's Spirit Pet, and hzc's upcoming novel, Yearning to Break the Pagoda Tree.)
Novel blurb:
To find the master who left without saying goodbye, Ye Ruofeng disguises herself as a boy and begins cultivating immortality. She becomes a disciple of Ying Songxuan, the head of Yanxing Palace, not knowing that the two masters from different periods of her life are the same person, or that many secrets are waiting to be uncovered.
After experiencing a fluttering heart, a failed confession, and the revelation of her demon-clan heritage, she wakes one morning to find her appearance changed. She has been made to marry her master in someone else's place.
Master: Don't you have anything to say to me?
All she wants is to flee the scene: Master, believe me. I really didn't do it on purpose.
Master: Don't go.
She groans inwardly: If I don't run now, am I waiting to be ground to dust?
Marriage is the grave of a master-disciple romance.
When disaster strikes, of course she has to run as far away as possible.
Much later, she learns that someone chose to let a mistake stand. And keeping one's feelings unspoken comes at a price.
Ying Songxuan's perspective***
"No matter what happens, I'll stay by your side."
Those were the words he promised you.
Do you know that every time I hear them, it feels like my heart is being torn apart?
(The less serious version) The inner wails of a man with a cold and aloof persona:
It seems like she married me, but maybe she didn't.
It seems like she loves me, but maybe she hates me.
Is she my wife, my disciple, or my enemy?
What do I do? I think I'm going insane.
A few things to know:
1. A ridiculous title, but a serious writing style. The story is full of intense romantic push and pull, with a very long period of ambiguity and a complicated romance. One official pairing, happy ending.
2. This is not traditional cultivation, and there are no strict tiers of power.
3. A romance in a xianxia setting. The beginning is a slow burn. The female lead appears in Chapter 7, and she starts interacting with the male lead in Chapter 9. Then come farewells, reunions, and finally getting their relationship on track.
4. There are hidden circumstances behind the wedding in the blurb. The full story explains what led to it and what happens afterward.
5. I'm terrible at writing blurbs. This really is bittersweet...

My Senior Brother Insists We Swear Life and Death to Each Other
A bittersweet push and pull, with sweetness and angst woven together. The familiar flavor~
[Past life: A heterochromatic princess walking on thin ice x a cold celestial master burdened by hatred]
[Present life: An innocent junior sister who doesn't understand love x a senior brother who loves her but cannot have her]
Everyone in the land believes the celestial master's prophecy: a heterochromatic girl will affect the fate of the nation and bring chaos to the world. The celestial master's lifelong mission is to find her, punish her, and destroy her.
Unfortunately, I am the heterochromatic girl he's been searching for, though I was born "blind." I guard against him, deceive him, and use him. I want him to fall in love with me before he discovers my origins. That way, perhaps I can stay alive until the day I can atone for my sins.
Celestial masters are always heartless. Or perhaps my methods were simply too clumsy to make him soften and fall for me. Later, I was chosen to be a princess sent away in a political marriage. He could have said no, but he never tried to stop me.
The heavens are so cruel. It turns out the day I set out was the day I was destined to die. At least I was ready to atone with my death.
In the great hall, I removed my veil and revealed my heterochromatic eyes in public for the first time. As everyone watched in terror, I pulled the crane hairpin from my hair and drove it toward my neck.
Amid the shimmering red of my blood, I looked at the celestial master with my strange eyes. "Why are you so surprised, Celestial Master? I'm only granting your wish."
He truly must have hated me. Why else would his expression look so terrifying?
Life is too bitter. I didn't want another life, but I don't know whether fate took pity on me or was playing a cruel joke when it made me live again. I forgot my past, severed my ties to love, and became the newest junior sister in a cultivation sect.
My fellow disciples say the senior brother is heaven's favored one: solitary, flawless, and untouchable.
But my senior brother treats me very well. I can't accept his kindness without returning it, so I do my best to repay him in kind.
Sometimes I can't understand his actions, especially when dark currents stir in his eyes and dangerous intentions threaten to break through his gentle facade. I secretly wonder if he's hiding some shameful secret from me.
I don't understand love, but my senior brother patiently tells me it's all right. He'll teach me.
I practice with someone else, and for the first time, he gets angry with me.
He says, "I'm teaching you how to love, not so you can go love someone else."
I personally cut open this flawless jade, only to discover that beneath its pure and immaculate surface, it is covered in wounds and stained with blood.
Senior brother's perspective:
The day we reunited, I was afraid she had forgotten me, and afraid she still remembered me.
No one knows what I gave up to bring her back to life.
I wager that she'll fall in love with me again. If I win, I can go on living.
I thought I could never lose, but she asked me with casual ease:
Senior Brother, what is love?

Upcoming 1, a similar master-disciple romance, After Falling for the Sect's Spirit Pet: A cool, ascetic white swan master x a scheming disciple who "knows when to back down."
Upcoming 2, a wife-chasing-after-the-breakup story, Yearning to Break the Pagoda Tree: She fakes her death after a failed political marriage. Forbidden relationship between an uncle and his sister-in-law, love and hatred intertwined.
Upcoming 3, Dark Veil: After my best friend and I show up wearing the same outfit...
--Also check out my completed novel next door, The Amnesiac Sword Spirit Just Wants Cuddles--
A shameless, scheming amnesiac sword spirit x a sword-obsessed sword sovereign who falls for himself
Theme: We cannot choose where we are born, but we can choose where we belong.
Woohoo, I finished it in one go. It's so good. It's the master-disciple story I want. I'll definitely read it twice. Compare my feelings (?˙ー˙?)
There is an unexpected visitor in the next chapter, let's take a guess with prizes o((*^▽^*))o
We love sweets and want to keep eating them!
Big!! Why isn't Senior Brother Pei Yin resurrected? . .
The extreme pull in the middle is really amazing! The male protagonist is also very good. It is rare to see a male protagonist who feels busy instead of like a loose immortal. He has his own responsibilities and missions. Different from the cold and cold flower of the high mountain, the cold and serious person who pushes the heroine away and blushes is really real and touching!
Wow wow wow, I really cried so much
The last sentence feels so good (dog head)
The two of them are also very sweet! Young people
Good luck, Master (covering face)
The lights are back! I've added some details to Chapter 128 first. Little angels who have time can take a look~ If nothing else, a new chapter should be updated tomorrow~
