I Became a Master of the Occult After Seeing the Future

Her phone has come alive!

That's the conclusion Zhong Yao reaches after taking the College English Test Band 6.

The test-taking tips for passing Band 6 that she saw on her phone yesterday match today's exam paper exactly!

Everyone else is complaining that this year's test was absurdly difficult. Zhong Yao, meanwhile, is lost in thought: If she gets a perfect score on Band 6, will the police come after her?

She quickly opens Yuyin to check the video, only to find that the headline has suddenly changed to: June 12, a gas explosion at Delicious BBQ in East Lake New Town...

Damn it! It's only June 11 today!

A new account suddenly appears on Yuyin, posting predictions about the future.

It says: Three hours from now, a severe rainstorm will hit Changming Street in Chuan City. Remember to bring an umbrella if you're going out.

Everyone: Give it a rest. The meteorological bureau says there's only a 10% chance of rain. What a charlatan, just trying to get attention!

But three hours later, the downpour arrives right on schedule.

Zhong Yao: Is it possible that the 10% refers to the area, not the chance of rain?

It says: There will be hail in the southwestern part of Ling City this afternoon. Take precautions.

Everyone: That's hilarious. If you're trying to get views, at least check the time! Who gets hail in the middle of a scorching summer afternoon?

That afternoon, the people waiting for it to be proven wrong get pelted in the face with hailstones.

Zhong Yao: Is it possible that hail happens when warm and cold air masses meet, or during the height of summer?

With their faces thoroughly slapped, everyone starts worshipping the Douyin account and becomes its loyal followers, urging all their aunts, uncles, and cousins to follow it too.

Zhong Yao hurriedly clarifies: For detailed weather forecasts, please follow the Central Meteorological Observatory.

I'm just an ordinary, enthusiastic citizen sharing obscure weather facts.

She never expected that a police officer she happened to save would disapprove of her obsession with predictions and want her to see the error of her ways: Young people in this new era must still hold high the banner of science!

1. The female lead isn't powerful from the start. She grows over time and has a hidden buff.

2. Sweet romance, one-on-one. The male lead is mostly in the background early on.
