Yu Sijue is an unlucky kid. He keeps going in and out of the same survival game, over and over.
The first time he entered, he threw caution to the wind in the first instance and hugged a female ghost, calling her Mom. The ghost mom raised a hand and sent him out of the instance. Luckily, no one can die in the Lost Domain. He worked hard, slowly grew into a major player, and left.
The second time he entered, he logged into his old account, bought a Gatling gun, and went to war with the boss. Come on, baby. Who's afraid of who? He played through all the instances he'd missed the first time, then left again.
The third time, it was a night so dark you could use it as a backdrop. He was the only one there wearing pajamas and slippers. Everyone watched as he waved and summoned the final boss, asking it to bring him a sofa and some black tea. They mourned his impending doom.
Then the final boss called over some minions to make the arrangements. Everyone was stunned. Why was he getting such good treatment?
The final boss replied, "He's powerful. I'm scared of him. If you don't like it, fight me one-on-one. Beat me, and you'll get the same treatment."
No, no, we're good.
At the heart of the game...
Jiang Nan: "Juejue, why don't you stay this time? It takes so much out of me every time I pull you in."
Yu Sijue: "Let me top you once and I'll stay. You promised last time."
Instances include:
1. A Night of Fantasy
I crawled out of despair and offer you this absurd stage, filled with fantasies and nightmares. Who knows that as I melded into the black fog, those sanctimonious executioners were basking in hymns of love beneath the sun or before giant screens?
Hush! I am mad with longing, I am despairing, I stand in the shadows and scream at the top of my lungs,
laughing at those cowards who never dare to face their own hearts,
and those hypocrites who go with the flow yet think themselves saviors.
They judge me with their ignorance and their self-righteous values,
then take up sharp blades and pierce me.
But the darkness soothes my wounds and sings me a healing song.
My heart raised a barrier, and from then on I laughed freely.
I sang without restraint.
2. Midsummer Night in the Forest
3. Garbage Sorting
4. Rose Manor
Tentative.
If you don't like it, click the upper-right corner to leave. If it's not to your taste, there's no need to keep reading. Feel free to point out any bugs or the like. I'm basically a paramecium in the flesh, so the logic might not always hold together. I'll include a little clue in each instance's description, something like a confession, so you can choose the ones that interest you.
Theme: A warm song for you
It's great, can't wait for the next chapter!
