An Artsy Youth in the 1980s

Someone once said that in an era without plastic surgery or photo editing, one person had made the years more beautiful and softened the passage of time.

Su Chen, a post-95s music creator, was busy earning money and making a living, busy creating music and winning awards. He was determined to retire at forty. Despite his exceptional talent, he was plain-looking and had no love life to speak of.

Su Chen, who debuted in the 1980s, was famous for his beauty. He had sung, appeared in TV dramas and acted in films, and had countless romances. He longed for the life of an ordinary person and dreamed of a happy marriage, but in the end, he never got what he wanted and died with regrets.

An accident caused the two to switch places.

In 1985, living in a crowded courtyard compound and wearing bell-bottoms, Su Chen had just thirty-seven yuan and fifty cents to his name. He had to start striving all over again: singing, buying houses, appearing in TV dramas, releasing albums, and making movies. He followed a familiar path, but his life turned out completely differently.

It seemed his romantic prospects were multiplying, too.

Su Chen: "What's the point of dating? Building a career is much better."

Theme: Eat, drink, and do your best to live well.
