Betrayer of friendship, ruthless mastermind behind the bombers, accomplice to a pure-black conspiracy theorist, perfect partner to the organization's top killer, a wolfdog in the underworld loyal to only one person.

Those would all become names he was known by.

Beneath a starry night after the dawn had faded, he buried the bomb disposal officer's future with his own hands;

At the spring celebration in the skyscraper, he lit the most brilliant fireworks;

Facing an undercover agent's hopeful gaze, he pulled the trigger without hesitation;

Before the good-luck charm they had made together, his back blurred at the scene of a car accident;

Under an eternal, one-second sky, he killed his last friend with his own hands.

"I told you I'd bury you with my own hands, my dear Zero."

The following year, he held the grandest memorial service for the five of them.

And before each of their gravestones lay a spray of early March cherry blossoms, still glistening with dew.

Then Takigawa blinked and found himself utterly bewildered.

Why did that guy with the curls look so familiar? And you, dark-skinned guy next door, could you stop planting bugs on me all the time! And those other three...

Don't stare at him with such tragic expressions, hey!

Things to know before reading:

1. The protagonist's personality around people outside the police academy crew is unclear. Don't jump to conclusions before the truth comes out.

2. The story was drafted over a long period, so please forgive the uneven writing???

3. The author loves foreshadowing, there are many personal additions, and this isn't written by a canon purist.
