Let's hear a few words from everyone.
Ye Xi: I just want us to be together.
Ye Lan: I can't, but I want to always know where you are.
Ye Zhu: Those two have to get together.
He Jinghan: Ye Xi, have some self-respect. Make him suffer.
People come and go from our lives. We've grown used to it.
But we won't let each other disappear from our lives.
We don't have to meet.
It's enough to hear from each other.
And now, a few rambling thoughts from me:
I'm back again, bringing some literary garbage.
These past few years have made me feel that
people are always producing heaps of written and spoken garbage.
But I disagree with the claim that "Chinese is dead."
As things develop in a spiral,
when we're at its center, we may not be able to see the bright side.
?
These past few years have finally made me realize how right those lines by Shakespeare are:
"Life is precious, love is dearer still, but both can be cast aside for freedom."
What have you all been thinking about while stuck at home?
Their story has left me torn over whether love or freedom matters more.
Perhaps for some of the people in the story, freedom matters more.
But for the two of them,
I think I really have put a bit of myself into it:
"While the whole world is in turmoil, noisy and restless, only we are calmly resisting the virus..."
That's how it feels in times like these.
Love is love.
Love is all above.
"Love matters most."
Then again, maybe it's because they don't live in the real world
and have freedom in every sense of the word,
so of course they'd choose love.
Theme: Love can transcend everything
Shouldn't the two male protagonists be classified into pure love? They're in the wrong category.
