Shancheng Kui, a 21st-century successor to the new generation of acrobatic magic, finally wins the top prize at the International Magic Alliance competition at the age of 22. Though he still falls a little short of his father's rival, Toichi Kuroba, Shancheng Kui is very satisfied with the result.
Who could have guessed that, at 23, during a magic show, his jealous assistant would sabotage him, leading to his untimely death? When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself back in childhood, with his childhood friend Kaito Kuroba lying beside him and pinching his face with a smug grin.
