[Genshin Impact/Xiao] She Always Asks If You Want to Cross to the Other Shore

The shrine maidens of Mount Hikami guide those who come seeking death onward.

But... after the disaster, only one young shrine maiden with spiritual power remained.

The first time they met:

"Big brother, since you're in so much pain, go over there. I'll guide you onward."

The second time:

"Big brother, you're back again. Have you made up your mind this time?"

The third time:

"Your actions show that you're seeking death, but deep down you want to live. You're a strange person."

The fourth time:

"Actually... you don't want to die at all. Don't come back again!"

From the time he was a subordinate of a god up until his days as the Conqueror of Demons, Xiao had been asked, "Do you want to die?" so many times that he slowly typed out a question mark: "?"

"I won't die, so don't stay here anymore!"

A parallel if-world based on the idea that [the best way to win over an adeptus is to take advantage of his vulnerability]

[What if young Xiao met Kurosawa Yuu, who had not yet been saved?]

I wanted to turn their roles around. The female lead is so gloomy that Xiao develops PTSD about dying.

Xiao doesn't care about himself, so let's give him a girl who cares even less about herself and make him reflect on his own behavior through hers.

Though the female lead is an original character, she's a proper Shrine Maiden of the Wavering Abyss, in both her beliefs and her abilities.

This girl has a different personality from the one in the main story. She was never saved by a Mondstadt girl, and her fixations are different too.

The blurb only gives the general idea. The dialogue may be adjusted slightly.

Theme: If you can't make it alone, walk together.
