Back to the 1990s to Go to School

Tong Mian was a factory girl who came from a remote mountain village. Working shifts on an assembly line, she put the village's first university student through college.

After her brother graduated and found a job, Tong Mian thought she could finally step aside.

But her family said a wealthy household had taken a fancy to her and wanted her to marry into it.

Tong Mian ran away in the middle of the night and never went back.

For more than twenty years she moved from one factory workshop to another. Just when she had finally managed to buy a home and a car, she died young in the hospital from years of overwork.

After being reborn, Tong Mian decided not to run away.

She persuaded the wealthy family's dim-witted son to let her go to school.

She told him that someone like her, who had never even attended high school, could never get into college anyway, so it would simply fulfill her long-held wish.

But in just one year, Tong Mian went from ranking last when she entered the exam-prep class to taking first place in the county on the college entrance exam, becoming a student at a prestigious university.

The wealthy family thought their cooked duck was about to fly away.

In desperation, they sent their son to the exam-prep class too, hoping to reshape him.

But by the time Tong Mian graduated from university, he had become a permanent fixture in the exam-prep class.
