From Landlord's Grandson to a Nation Built on Science and Technology

The 998 Academic Ace System was in a real bind. It had just passed the System employment exam and become a System awaiting placement, but its very first task went disastrously wrong. It was supposed to bind itself to a patriotic young man from the founding of the country.

It never expected that, while being deployed, it would run low on energy during its journey through time and space, then be thrown off course by an alien magnetic field and end up attached to a woman in the modern era. With no other choice, it could only use its reserve energy to travel through time once more.

But after its energy was depleted, the System fell into a deep sleep, with no idea what would happen next.

Jin Dong, an innocent bystander caught up in all this, went from a scholarly family in the twenty-first century to a landlord's household in the 1960s. First she was an unloved girl, then an unloved grandson.

Thinking of the great upheaval that was about to come, Jin Dong was worried. But as an exemplary Party member, he was brimming with chuunibyou spirit, weighed down by the task of national rejuvenation.
