Upcoming: [Western Crossover] Welcome to Strange Tales Town
Novel blurb:
After dying, investigator Kelono transmigrates to a new world.
The people in this new world are simple and welcoming. Now and then, people in skintight suits put on live shows as they drive off little monsters, and whenever an evil god invades, someone is there to stand in its way.
He also has a job as the private secretary to the billionaire Wayne. Lots of money, little work, and low stress: it's his ideal retirement.
The only problem is that whenever he goes out, he either gets caught up in an accident or dragged into some strange world. A whole bunch of people are chasing him, demanding that he release an evil god, and a System that appears and disappears without warning is always at his side.
"Your new System has arrived. Would you like to accept it?"
"Hey, your superpower is about to expire. Please confirm receipt."
Not again! Do you really think an investigator is a pushover?
You evil gods pretending to be Systems! Take your stuff and get as far away from me as possible!
Another day of using my wits to fend off Systems.
PS (content notes): The story has a Cthulhu Mythos setting, and the protagonist has transmigrated multiple times. The main world is a superhero mash-up, with plots involving multiple parallel universes. Other Western TV series will be added later.
The protagonist has not watched the original shows.
Recommending my friend's danmei spin-off, by Gui Qi Chang An: The Fake Booze Still Hasn't Joined the Organization
What's the fakest fake booze? Hanazaki Aoba, who never joined the Black Organization, but made up a codename based on liquor and now goes around causing trouble and pretending to be a member.
Also recommending my friend Gao Hua Chen Bai's upcoming female-lead, no-CP novel, Me, an NPC, an Undercover Agent: an infinite-flow story about a mastermind operating behind the scenes with multiple secret identities.
NPC Li Zhongbo infiltrates a player party and does his best to thwart their plans. He wears the secret identities of various bosses, yet somehow ends up being mistaken for a savior deity.
Upcoming blurb: [Western Crossover] Welcome to Strange Tales Town
Welcome to the town. Your lord, North, welcomes you. Here's a guide to visiting the town.
1. Make sure you bring enough supplies for your visit. Food and water are essential. If you have extra resources, the lord would be happy to trade with you.
2. The divination room can answer only one of your questions per day, and the answer will be yes or no. If you ask more than once, make sure you are strong enough to deal with the diviner.
3. If you encounter anyone who appears to be a mentally ill patient outside the designated residential areas of town, leave immediately.
4. If you meet someone outside the work areas who tells you to stay away from this city, he is safe.
5. Keep away from anyone wearing a clown costume or clown makeup.
6. If you meet anyone claiming to be a superhero, check the town staff handbook first to verify their identity.
7. …
PS: A nationwide lord-and-city-building story.
Theme: The greater your power, the greater your responsibility.
