The Xie family, based in Yingfeng City in the East, is the world's oldest vampire clan. Its head, Xie Yan, was betrayed by a friend and sealed in a tomb, where he fell into a century-long slumber...
Over the past hundred years, technology advanced rapidly, and humans developed a vaccine that could resist mutation. They no longer had to fear being turned into vampires. Humanity rose to power, and vampire hunters sprang up everywhere.
Because vampires were so beautiful, vampire hunters captured them, fitted them with anti-barking collars, and sold them to humans, where they became playthings of the upper class.
The surviving vampires either hid away in the mountains or filed down their fangs and struggled to survive in human society.
One night, two grave robbers opened Xie Yan's coffin. The progenitor vampire, who had slept for a hundred years, slowly opened his eyes.
P.S. The cover is so beautiful, I just had to post the blurb first.
