What's Wrong with the Way I Get Promoted in the Organization?

[Perfect for winter reading. Bonus chapters are being added from time to time.] [Character profiles updated!] * Here's what happened. My name is Oikawa Arimitsu, and I'm a writer. To break through my creative block, I decided to leave my comfort zone and switch from the healing stories I usually write to a gritty gangster novel. With no experience at all, I asked a friend for help. They introduced me to a truly evil transnational organization so I could get a feel for the atmosphere, and that's how I began my distillery career. When I first arrived, I asked a kind-looking old man for directions to the interview site. He was missing an eye. He stared at me for a long time, then finally pointed me in the right direction. I ended up at the gathering place for the members with codenames. There, I felt the warmth of home Everyone gave off such a friendly air, especially the silver-haired man in black sitting in the middle. The look he gave me was practically murderous. To show that I meant well, I released my "aura" too. ...In short, I passed the interview without a hitch and became a member of this organization where everyone used a liquor name as their codename. ◆ To gather material, Oikawa Arimitsu infiltrated a transnational criminal organization and became one of its members. At first, he only wanted to experience what it was like to be an unimportant underling. But just as he was about to capture a target on the orders of a senior member, the next thing he knew, his family's weapons were pointed at the target's neck. "Young Master Arimitsu! How could you do something so rough? Just give the word, and this humble monk will fearlessly charge into the underworld for you." Oikawa Arimitsu: Maybe we can skip this one. How about I switch to another mission and play the cannon fodder? Distillery senior: (meekly) Every time he tried to take a mission seriously, his worried family beat him to it. Before he could even experience the daily life of an underling, Oikawa Arimitsu somehow became an executive with a codename. Gradually, the organization members began looking at him differently. "Ice Wine has never properly done a mission. How could he be an ordinary person? Have you seen the people who show up to handle his missions for him? Every one of them is more mysterious than Rum and more terrifying than Gin." "Could it be... I'm just saying, could Ice Wine actually be the Boss's heir, the legitimate young master of our organization?" Oikawa Arimitsu: How can these people just go around assigning someone a father? (angry) My dad back home in Kanto will cry! ◆Bonus Scene◆ "Ice Wine, you have dark circles lately. Are you not getting enough rest? Let me handle today's mission." "I picked up some cake on the way back. Please have some, if you don't mind." "You've been doing great lately, Ice Wine. The report Scotland turned in for you a few days ago was excellent. Huh? Bourbon wrote it? Rye did the mission? You only stapled the pages together? Uh... Well, you did staple them very neatly!" "..." "Yes, I really do have a father who leads a yakuza organization." [Reading Guide] 1. The main story is in third person. The protagonist has a liquor codename but isn't liquor. He doesn't do missions, he's just there for the atmosphere, and everyone is writing material for him. 2. Primarily Detective Conan, crossed with The Morose Mononokean. The male lead is the son of Rikuo and the Snow Woman, with stronger Snow Woman blood (he isn't the fourth head of the Nura Clan; that position belongs to his twin brother). The Nurarihyon content isn't very prominent, but runs throughout the story. You can follow along without knowing the original. 3. Pairing with Matsuda, who appears in Chapter 17. 4. Blurb written on June 12, 2022. I have drafts and chat records. I never agreed to anyone borrowing ideas. ·Check out my own completed stories, ready to read: No CP: "The Boss's Secret Identity Can Do Anything," "Draw Cards, Then Become a Male High School Student," "The Whole World Thinks I'm a Paper Doll" Danmei: "One Hundred Ways to Save the Distillery with Detective Conan" (Gin pairing), "The Distillery Boss Wants to Retire Again Today" (Hiromitsu pairing), "After Failing to Resign, I Got a Happy Ending with My Workaholic Boss" (Rei pairing), "Detective Conan: Life RPG" Theme: Leave your comfort zone, keep innovating, and refuse to give up
