Being Each Other's Light

Hayakawa Se'an spent ten quiet years surrounded by darkness,

until one sunny day, a gentle and warm-hearted boy came into her life.

That boy was like a god, his voice flowing through her entire world.

"I'm having surgery tomorrow. I hope I'll be able to see you when I wake up."

"Mm... If I turn out not to be good-looking, will Se'an be disappointed?"

After Yukimura said this, he let out a soft laugh. Hayakawa had no idea why he was laughing.

Later, she woke up,

but Yukimura had become a stranger.

Hayakawa stared at the boy's face in silence:

This... is what he calls not good-looking?

No wonder he laughed. He made himself laugh, didn't he?

"If I didn't have tennis, I would have nothing. Tennis is who I am."

This time, I heard your hoarse cry.

In that world, you endured your illness and brought light to me.

So in this world, I hope I can do what little I can to dispel your gloom.

Let me be your light.

Tips:

1. The heroine's surgery (when she transmigrates) takes place before Yukimura's surgery.

2. The heroine expresses her own thoughts, but won't influence Yukimura's decisions. Everyone is an independent individual.

3. No U-17 storyline.

Reader advisory:

1. A devoted Rikkai fanfic. The Kanto sixteen-match winning streak and three consecutive national championships are set in stone.

2. OOC warning.

3. This is my own little stash of fanfic. If it's not your thing, feel free to leave.

4. The story is mostly everyday life, with a few matches later on.
