The original outline had problems, so I'm revising the whole story.
After a night of partying, Shen Minghuan somehow finds herself inside a novel about a second wife, as an unlucky cannon-fodder character who barely appears in two episodes.
The male lead is the Duke's heir, gifted in both letters and arms and favored by the emperor. After his first wife dies, the female lead and the supporting female characters all set their sights on becoming his second wife, battling with wits and fighting tooth and nail.
In the scene where the villainess drugs the female lead, the clever heroine avoids the trap, but the original Shen Minghuan walks right into it. A wastrel violates her, and in the end, she secretly hangs herself with a white silk sash.
What terrible luck!
Shen Minghuan promptly decides to stay far away from the dangerous male lead and find herself a handsome husband instead.
She hears there are many young scholars at the academy where her father teaches, and excitedly rushes over to pick one. To her surprise, luck is on her side: she falls for one at first sight!
Eyes like black lacquered stars, swordlike brows reaching his temples, tall and elegant, handsome as a dragon or phoenix, jade-like and pine-green, peerlessly beautiful, second to none in the world.
He's just, just, just... way too handsome!
Shen Minghuan's eyes sparkle as she hurriedly tugs at the scholar's sleeve. "Sir, are you engaged?"

When Xie Jin'an visits the academy, he comes across a girl who's lost. He kindly gives her directions, only to find himself being pursued by her.
The young lady is sweet and warmhearted. She invites him to go boating and see the lanterns, and even wants to visit the bodhi tree with him to pray for a matching love-knot. Before he knows it, she has melted his cold, hard heart.
But as soon as he reveals his identity, the young lady runs faster than a rabbit and boldly declares that none of it counts anymore.
Xie Jin'an laughs in exasperation. She gets him involved, and now she thinks she can run away?

This copywriting? Forget it if she is a concubine. If the second daughter becomes someone else's step-brother, will she still be her original brother-in-law? Are you really not afraid of being accused of being clinging to? A marquis's palace and a prince's palace, the family backgrounds are not so different that they need to pay such a big price, right? Unless it is a royal family, an emperor or a promising prince, the two parties are in a political alliance
