Before being reborn, Cen Nanjian was just an ordinary classmate of Bai Xinghuang, who had been taken back in by a wealthy family. Yet, for no apparent reason, Bai's older brother kidnapped him and killed him.
After being reborn, Cen Nanjian decides to stay away from Bai Xinghuang so he won't meet the same fate again.
But then something goes wrong with his body, and he starts feeling everything Bai Xinghuang feels.
When Bai Xinghuang hurts, he hurts. When Bai Xinghuang is hungry, he gets hungry. When Bai Xinghuang is thirsty, he gets thirsty...
And at this point, Bai Xinghuang is an orphan who never gets enough to eat or a warm place to sleep, and is covered in bruises every day.
With no other choice, Cen Nanjian has to keep reminding him every moment until he's taken back by the wealthy family:

Later, Cen Nanjian finally loses patience and grabs Bai Xinghuang by the collar. "Are you doing this on purpose? Do you just not do anything unless I tell you to?"
Bai Xinghuang lowers his head, looking utterly pitiful.
Cen Nanjian grits his teeth and puts up with it.
As soon as Bai is taken back in, Cen Nanjian makes a quick getaway and vanishes without a trace.
To Bai Xinghuang, Cen Nanjian was the moon, cherished in his heart but too precious to touch. Yet Cen died because of him.
After taking revenge and being reborn, Cen Nanjian unexpectedly approaches him of his own accord, caring for him in every possible way. It feels like a dream.
Bai Xinghuang carefully hides the secret of his own rebirth, pretending he doesn't know anything, afraid the dream will shatter.
But everything is so wonderful that he dares to hope Cen Nanjian might love him.
Then Cen is taken back by his family and disappears, and everything returns to reality.
The moon remains the moon. It was never going to stop for him.
After only a few carefree days, Cen Nanjian discovers that something is wrong with his body again...
And he also finds a broken-down Bai Xinghuang.
