A massive explosion ushered in the spiritual qi revival.
The time it took animals to gain human-level intelligence was compressed to just a few decades.
As more and more animals invaded the human world, the animals who had gained human-level intelligence jointly established the Gratitude Mutual Aid Bureau to keep themselves in check. This was to maintain social order and prevent unnecessary panic.
Among them, Ling Ze, the last dragon, was naturally elected director of the bureau.
Ling Ze drew up the following guidelines for the bureau:
First, willingly abide by the rules and systems of human society;
Second, never tell the people you repay your true identity;
Third, do not display your supernatural abilities in front of humans unless absolutely necessary;
Fourth, respect the old and care for the young, and be a law-abiding, upstanding monster in the new century.
Ninety-ninth, Ling Ze has the final say on how all the above guidelines are interpreted!
Once everything was settled, Ling Ze decided to track down a certain brat and settle the score.
He swore he would make that jerk who had humiliated him while he was at his weakest pay for it!
He never expected the little rascal to be so handsome!

Chi Ran really did see a dragon when he was a child, but nobody believed him.
Then one day, a man suddenly barged into his life. The man said his name was Ling Ze, and that Chi Ran had saved him as a child, so he had come to repay the favor.
Chi Ran clutched his wallet and made it clear that he was broke.
But that was not the end of it.
Instead, things spiraled in an absurd direction, turning Chi Ran's life upside down.
For example:
The person incessantly pressing his doorbell changed from the landlady, who was always late collecting the rent, into a cat who loved telling bad jokes? Or maybe... a husky in a suit, striking poses with a cigar in its mouth, brought him roses? Of course, what Chi Ran found hardest to bear was the gecko as big as a double-door refrigerator. He had absolutely no appetite for its tail, which weighed dozens of pounds!
The whole world had gone completely haywire.
By chance, Chi Ran discovered that as long as that nuisance, Ling Ze, stayed by his side, his life could briefly return to normal.
So, on a dark and windy night, Chi Ran knocked on Ling Ze's door. "Stop repaying me. Hold me instead."
The evil dragon in the darkness smiled triumphantly, pulled him into his arms, and firmly shut the door.
"I'll make sure to exceed expectations!"
