Zero is a nonexistent Zero. To Furuya Masateru, he's an illegitimate son who should never have existed. To the Organization, he's Subject Zero, a secret experimental subject, an Organization member who didn't exist until he was ordered by that man to return. Until then, he would always be "Furuya Rei," a normal boy who grew up in the outside world without ever coming into contact with the Organization, a Public Security officer and leader of Zero's division undercover within the Organization.
Zero is loyal to the Organization because it is the Organization his mother served, the Organization the Miyano couple served, the Organization of the man who took him in after Furuya Masateru abandoned him on a snowy night, and the Organization that helped him find the Miyano family again after they disappeared.
In the explosion that killed the Miyano couple, almost everyone who knew about Subject Zero died as well.
Though he had only seen his mother a few times as a child, to Furuya Rei, neglected and abused by his father, his mother was one of the few people who showed him kindness. She was the person who truly loved him. Against that stark contrast, he desperately longed for her love and yearned for her approval. Even after learning that his mother didn't love him, Furuya Rei, who had spent more than twenty years weathering the complexities of the world, still regarded her as the most important person in his life. Later, when he learns he has a younger sister, he protects her because she is the legacy his mother left behind. That's right, he doesn't love his sister. He protects her only because she has their mother's blood.
This is a story about a Zero who loves the Organization. But until he's ordered to discard his cover identity, he'll always be that Red Zero.
Theme: Just be yourself
Big Brother Gin's first impression of bourbon is very good. The first step into the organization is perfect.
