Chi Suili has always believed in science. The night after the college entrance exam, the world falls apart. She spends the night at a friend's house and runs into a ghost with a memorial portrait; goes to an escape room with her friend and finds a haunted house that eats people; helps her friend follow a star, only to discover the idol is a giant boar...
Chi Suili: Help! Why do I run into ghosts everywhere I go?
... (A little scene)
Bai Xun: Chi, contact with ghosts carries a risk of contamination. You either fall completely and become a contaminant, or become a Spirit Adept and personally slay the man-eating things. Your abilities are unusual, and the organization invites you to join our big family of Spirit Adepts and protect the public.
Chi Suili: Come on, I'm just an ordinary person. Fighting and killing aren't for me.
Lu Lin: Spirit Adepts get free room and board, full college tuition, and a luxury car and villa...
Chi Suili: Actually, my dream is world peace.
