[A sudden idea. The blurb is rough and will be revised later, but the general idea won't change.]
1. Qiaoqiao is a rare fox whose saliva helps wounds heal.
Since she was little, the elders of her clan warned her never to expose the family mark on her belly, or she'd be captured and made into medicine. She needed to be especially wary of people from the Demon Realm. They were cruel, violent, and utterly inhuman.
Qiaoqiao took the warning to heart and lived happily and carefree as a little fox demon in the mountains. When she reached maturity and had explored every inch of the mountain, she took human form and slipped down the slopes.
On her way back, she found a handsome man unconscious at the foot of the mountain.
Feeling softhearted, Qiaoqiao dragged him back to her home.
As the Demon Realm's great demon king, Pei You considered the most humiliating event of his life to be getting ambushed by a trusted aide and left injured and unconscious.
When he woke up, a fluffy little fox was lying on his chest, licking his wound.
A glint flashed in Pei You's eyes. He was about to kill it.
The little fox suddenly looked up, her eyes shining. "Don't be scared! I'll have you healed in no time!"
Pei You: "..."
2. After Pei You went missing, the Demon Realm fell into chaos.
A squad of Pei You's other personal guards finally tracked their great demon king to the border between the Demon Realm and the human world.
They never expected to find the once bloodthirsty demon king, Pei You, wearing a plain blue robe and a shabby straw hat, obediently picking apples from a tree.
A girl in red sat beneath the tree, wearing the same kind of shabby straw hat.
She looked up at the person in the tree and called out in a clear, sweet voice, "Pick the red ones!"
The guards: "..."
My lord, do you still remember the Demon Realm on the other side of the mountain?
Pei You: Get out of the way! You're blocking my view of the fruit!
3. At first, Pei You was disgusted by the fact that his wound needed fox saliva.
"How much longer do you have to lick it?!"
Later...
Qiaoqiao: "Are you hurt?"
Pei You: "No."
Qiaoqiao: "Then why are you biting my tongue?"
Pei You: "...Be good, Qiaoqiao. Give me one more kiss."
