She's a Dragon [Interstellar]

Jiang Xianyi opens her eyes and discovers she has transmigrated into a strange body.

The girl in the mirror has pale golden scales covering her body, two little horns like biscuits on her forehead, and eyes that narrow into vertical slits whenever her emotions rise.

But none of that is the point. The point is that she's so hungry, she's about to starve to death. She feels like she could eat an entire cow in one sitting!

But she has barely enough money in her pocket to buy a bottle of water.

As Jiang Xianyi is figuring out how to make money, an invitation to enroll is placed before her.

It's a military academy scholarship program. The school covers room and board and provides a monthly stipend, on the condition that she head to the front lines after graduation.

Others want nothing to do with the offer. Jiang Xianyi's eyes light up.

I can pilot a mech for free?!

The annual military academy league begins, and an unknown freshman from a remote planet wins the championship against all odds.

The following year, the geniuses from every school are eager to get even. But last year's freshman has already mastered her mimic armor. A mighty golden dragon sweeps all before her, finishing the individual ranking competition in record time.

By the third year's league, the golden dragon is soaring with her head held high on the distant, dangerous First Defense Line.

From then on, the Zerg armies are driven back again and again.

Finally, on an ordinary afternoon, the Zerg disappear, and news that the war is over spreads across the Alliance.

The Alliance celebrates the news, while its greatest hero, its strongest warrior, curls up on a mountaintop, staring at the empty battlefield with drooping whiskers.

"My spicy crayfish..."

A proud little red bird lands on the golden dragon's nose and flutters its wings with an air of importance. "My family's farm has already bred a variety with an even better taste than crayfish..."

Jiang Xianyi perks up in an instant. "Are you going to treat me to a meal?!"
