In Yan Yu's eyes, everything Zhuang Zhuo does is wrong.

When Zhuang Zhuo laughs with someone at thirteen, Yan Yu sneers: "Promiscuous."

At fifteen, Zhuang Zhuo's eyes grow misty with tears as he coughs from an illness. Yan Yu frowns: "He's obviously trying to seduce people. Promiscuous!"

At eighteen, Yan Yu climbs through the window into Zhuang Zhuo's room. Zhuang Zhuo is sleeping in a rumpled pose, his waist exposed, snoring. Yan Yu grits his teeth as he stares at that pale waist: "Dressed so scantily. Is he waiting for someone? What a shameless flirt!"

At twenty-one, Zhuang Zhuo personally bandages the soldiers' wounds to save them. Yan Yu is so angry his liver aches: "Men and men shouldn't touch each other, and he's still touching other people. Utterly promiscuous!"

At twenty-five, red waves roll beneath the bed curtains. Zhuang Zhuo grabs something and asks: "Do you just like me when I'm being promiscuous?"
