[My next serial novel is Two People Living Alone in a Desolate Village [Apocalypse Farming]. The blurb is at the end. Little angels, feel free to add it to your favorites if you're interested!]
Blurb:
Shen Xiaocha, a veteran overtime worker, fainted from low blood sugar on her way home from work. When she woke up, she discovered that she'd transmigrated into an abandoned village somewhere in ancient times.
No roosters crowing, no dogs barking, no smoke rising from chimneys.
Only abandoned fields, crumbling walls, and dry bones.
And a Taobao System where everything could be scavenged.
A socially anxious young woman from the 21st century settles into a peaceful, secluded life in an ancient, desolate village. Let the fun begin!
With Taobao at her fingertips, high yields are guaranteed: high-yield drought-resistant rice seeds producing 1,400 jin per mu, corn seeds yielding 1,500 jin per mu, peanut seeds yielding 500 jin per mu...
With Taobao at her fingertips, she never has to worry about daily necessities: sanitary pads, cola, spicy snack strips, river-snail rice noodles...
Food, clothing, housing, transportation, and a boyfriend: everything is "the best arrangement"!
Content warnings:
1. The setting is very loosely based on reality, so please don't nitpick the details.
2. Protecting rare wild plants and animals is everyone's responsibility.
3. I hope this can heal people like the author, the 996 workers who long to escape the city and live in the countryside.
Blurb for my next novel, Two People Living Alone in a Desolate Village [Apocalypse Farming]
Please add it to your favorites, little angels!
If it weren't for the zombies who "visit" from time to time and the mutated livestock, Yang Liu would almost think the apocalypse had never come, and that time had simply turned back.
Life seemed to have returned to a decade or so ago. No phones, computers, or apps. People followed the changing seasons in the mountains, and life passed slowly and peacefully...
The stream in front of the house was crystal clear. Spring rain spilled over its banks, and the knotweed along the shore shot up overnight. Pick a handful, blanch it, and stir-fry it with dried chili. Paired with a bowl of hand-rolled noodles, it's a delicious meal that helps grandma and grandchild forget the worries of the apocalypse.
In July and August, the corn in the fields was so tender juice could be squeezed from it. Toss one or two beside the stove to roast while cooking, and the charred fragrance is irresistible. Or grind it on a stone mill, wrap it in banana leaves, and steam it. Either way, it's enough to make up for the losses caused by last night's zombie attack.
In autumn, wild animals ruined much of the crops in the fields, but the high-yield sweet potatoes still didn't disappoint. Make pancakes from sweet potato starch, flour, and eggs, then bring out the sweet potato stems pickled in sour chili over the summer. Doesn't life still seem pretty satisfying?
In winter, the radishes and potatoes dug out of the cellar shattered the peaceful life of the grandmother and grandchild.
The person hiding in the shadows: friend or foe...
Will these peaceful days in the mountains finally come to an end?
