Before Wen Yunzhe died, he forcibly extracted one of his souls and one of his spirits and sent them into reincarnation. The rest of his soul was taken and sealed away by the divine envoy Tianjiang.
Unfortunately, Qixi Yao, who was at odds with Tianjiang, found out. He went to Shuxun and said,
"Your person is dead, but one soul and one spirit fell into the human..."
"Where is he?!" Shuxun interrupted Qixi Yao. "Does Tianjiang have him? That lousy divine envoy actually thinks he can rule the Three Realms! Where is Tianjiang?!"
Qixi Yao waved a hand. "He invoked the rules."
"I'm going to find Yunzhe..." Shuxun said, then disappeared.
Damn, I forgot to tell that idiot: one soul and one spirit drifting through the human world could easily be caught by the ghost officers and sent into reincarnation. Qixi Yao stood there for a moment. Well, whatever.
And so, a rumor spread that a demon king had gone mad. Apparently, he was searching for someone.
[The following scene won't appear in the story. Just imagine it as a skit.]
One day, Chen Zhuo passed by a rather eerie little village, so he dragged Chen Xi along to investigate.
Chen Xi: "Holy crap, bro, this place is huge."
Chen Zhuo: "Don't chicken out. There's definitely a Hundun here."
Hundun? Chen Xi got excited. He'd finally get to use his spiritual power again!
When they got home that evening, both of them were covered in mud.
"So, where did you go to test your spiritual powers this time?" Zhang Xian looked at them.
Chen Xi hurried to answer first: "Nowhere! We went to look for our test papers, but a dog snatched them along the way, so we had to chase it for ages!"
Chen Zhuo nodded.
How did I end up with two idiots? Zhang Xian held her forehead.
On the way to school, Chen Zhuo was stopped by someone. He looked at the person, who seemed to want to say something, but instead just hugged him.
Chen Zhuo was baffled. He pushed the person away, gave him a puzzled look, and left.
I found him... Shuxun wiped away his tears. Waaaaah, I finally found him!
Shuxun (Top) x Chen Zhuo (Bottom)
Chen Zhuo will have memories of his past life. After all, he's not really reincarnated; he only has one soul and one spirit.
