After Starting Out in Tokusatsu, I Connected to the Detective Conan World

Zhube Taku is a newly appointed lead Rider, dragged into the role whether he likes it or not.

The Will of Heaven: The world is falling apart. We need a dependable workhorse, no, a brave and fearless hero to step up and save everyone!

Zhube Taku: You just said "workhorse," didn't you? You absolutely did!

And so, in a daze, Zhube Taku gets a belt and opens the door to battling monsters.

But there's a little mix-up with the mission location: he has to take the monsters to the Detective Conan world and defeat them there, or the incomplete extermination will contaminate the world.

Zhube Taku: Wait! This isn't just a matter of the art style being different. These are completely different dimensions, aren't they?!

And so the residents of the Detective Conan world see:

A murderer who was about to kneel and repent suddenly shouts, "I did nothing wrong!" and swells into a crawling creature.

A villain who was robbing someone a moment ago trips after taking just a few steps, then turns around with a pair of wings sprouting from his back.

A rival target the Black Organization has just killed suddenly comes back to life, gets a new body, and even gets a bonus fire-breathing trick.

The ghost stories of Beika Town keep multiplying, leaving everyone in a panic. At last, Zhube Taku, the person at the center of it all, has something to say:

Monsters? What monsters? I'm just an ordinary person who's always unlucky enough to get caught up in danger.

So stop stopping me from using Rider Kicks already!

1. People will die in this story, and anyone could resort to all kinds of ruthless tactics. At its heart, it's about everyday salvation in the apocalypse. Of course, what a story is about and how well it's written are two different things. ( )

The comments highlighted in Chapter 4 explain some of the setting due to plot reasons.

2. The protagonist will bring people back and forth between the tokusatsu world and the Detective Conan world. The art style is assumed to change with each world.

3. The protagonist's world has original monsters and second and third Riders. The belts will be passed around, and the supporting Riders share the role, so anyone might be chosen by a belt. Think of Armor Hero characters fighting over a belt, though Armor Hero itself won't appear.

4. There will be a few appearances from the Ultra Series, but not many. The main focus is Toei's tokusatsu shows.

5. Original tokusatsu is the foundation, with character crossovers as the connecting threads. The two sides will receive roughly equal page time.
