In this unknown world, there are many hidden, uncontrollable "threats." They resemble insects, yet can take the form of anything. They are called "insects." Without exception, they devour human lives and take their place.

To combat them, the United Nations and a mysterious organization called the "Insect Masters" established a protective organization: the Insect Exterminators. As the name suggests, they exterminate insects. To avoid causing unnecessary panic, every exterminator's identity is kept strictly secret.
