A Beta Who Doesn't Want to Take Responsibility

Gu Ci is a beta.

When his pheromone test results came back, unlike other betas, who looked glum, he was thrilled!

No heat or rut, no being controlled by pheromones, and no getting marked!

That's the freewheeling life he wanted.

He's dated plenty of people, including alphas, betas, and omegas.

He's always stuck to his rule: pass through a garden of flowers without letting a single petal cling to him.

One time, he went to visit a friend and met a tall male omega, so beautiful that Gu Ci couldn't take his eyes off him.

But since he was his friend's nephew, Gu Ci had to give up on him.

He never expected the omega to pursue him instead. How could he refuse?

But then this sweet, soft omega turned out to be an alpha, and Gu Ci ended up as the bottom!

"This is just the once. Don't tell your uncle," Gu Ci gritted out in anguish.

But even Lian Yuteng just smiled and rubbed his belly. "Really? Then why doesn't the baby in your belly agree?"

One day, Lian Yuteng went into rut and locked himself in a room with Gu Ci.

Gu Ci complained that he was too rough, and that he'd left red marks all over his body. He kicked Lian Yuteng, who had turned into a beast, away.

"Get lost! We're done! I'm not the one in rut, anyway!"

Lian Yuteng's gaze darkened, and he bared his sharp teeth once more at the neck he had bitten over and over again.
