As a pear tree that had rotted to death and turned into several chunks of rotten wood, Xiu thought its life was over. But fate was kind to it, and it discovered a side business: growing mushrooms.
From then on, life kept getting better and better.
After becoming human one day, Xiu wanted nothing more than to focus on its career and find Wei Shuxi a spouse. But that human girl was so thick-headed that she couldn't take a hint. When pushed too far, she'd even pull out a carving knife and threaten Xiu fiercely.
In response, Xiu could only say:
Rotten wood can't be carved.
Aren't mushrooms delicious?
