The Daylight and You Are Both Radiant

Yan Qiao and Jiang Xiaobai accidentally swapped their schoolbags. When they found each other's diaries inside, they discovered each other's girlish crushes.

Jiang Xiaobai was horrified. "You like Li Shi?"

Yan Qiao was just as shocked. "You like Tao Yu?"

Each thought the other was incredibly brave.

On a foggy early-autumn morning, Yan Qiao stopped Zhou Li after his run. He was a little out of breath after two laps, moisture clinging to his eyelashes. After hearing Yan Qiao out, he looked unusually stunned. "What did you say?"

Yan Qiao stood in front of him. After a nervous, deep breath, she shoved into his hands the thing she'd been hiding behind her back. "I'm just telling you that I like you. I'm not asking you to date me while we're still in school. Focus on your studies. This is my number. When you're ready to date, call me first!"

Zhou Li took a step back. "Yan Qiao, calm down."

Meanwhile, after a power outage forced Jiang Xiaobai to climb the stairs home, she cornered Tao Yu on the staircase. The dim hallway looked straight out of a horror movie, and Jiang Xiaobai's voice trembled. "Tao Yu... I-I-I like you."

"I've liked you for a long time!"

Tao Yu still had a lollipop in his mouth. He looked Jiang Xiaobai up and down several times, then took the candy out and gazed at her earnestly. "Jiang Xiaobai, what do you like about me? I'll change it tomorrow."

Later, the college entrance exams were over.

On the night the results came out, Zhou Li called Yan Qiao.

"When are you going to cash in the number one spot you have on my list?"

Tao Yu paced around the house all day, then finally went upstairs and knocked on Jiang Xiaobai's door for the first time.

"Jiang Xiaobai, you've graduated. Want to date me?"

To me, both the daylight and you are utterly radiant.
