A contrasting male lead, Xu Huaisong, and a funny girl, Yu Qing

Night fell. Xu Huaisong and Yu Qing walked along the asphalt road, where maple leaves were scattered across the ground and shone beneath the streetlights.

Drunk and swaying, Yu Qing shook her head as Xu Huaisong smiled at her helplessly.

They'd thought separation was the best way to put an end to their desires, but when they met again, the little deer in their hearts was still leaping wildly.

Yu Qing pretended she was going to jump up and hit his head, but Xu Huaisong was a head taller than her, and she could barely stay upright.

Xu Huaisong planned to play along, but when she nearly fell, he put a hand around her waist to steady her. When he looked at her flushed face, his heart stirred. He never let go of her.

Yu Qing: "Th-thank you."

Xu Huaisong said nothing. Instead, he pressed her head against his chest.

Yu Qing asked him, "W-what are you doing?"

Xu Huaisong: "I'm checking something."

Yu Qing: "What?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Xu Huaisong lowered his head and kissed her. Yu Qing froze.

Xu Huaisong: "They say your heart beats really fast when you kiss someone you like."

Yu Qing was about to speak, but then he said, "Mm, it's beating so fast. I really do like you."

Xu Huaisong: "Yu Qing."

Yu Qing: "What?"

Xu Huaisong: "My feelings for you are still lingering."
