"Now that the west wind has risen once more,
spring's red blooms have all turned autumn white.
It isn't even longing,
I just happened to think of you."
When Yu Xin first met him, she thought he had a distinctive quality about him, something called poetry, something called the time when the west wind rises once more.

Yu Xin liked sitting on Cheng Mo's lap and holding him close. She said that if the world ended, they would embrace and kiss like this as they died together.
"If you didn't climb on top of me when I need to use the bathroom, then even if you wanted to glue our tongues together with superglue under the coffin lid, I'd still have stars in my eyes."

Cheng Mo had a cat named "Silence."
"Why did you give it a name that sounds just like your own? Aren't you embarrassed calling it that every day?" Yu Xin asked with a laugh, completely baffled.
Cheng Mo shook his head mysteriously. "Sometimes, metaphysics is metaphysics. It's a very mysterious field, a wondrous branch of knowledge."
"..."
Then one day, Yu Xin went downstairs to buy sanitary pads and chatted with Sister Wang next door.
Sister Wang whispered, "Xiao Yu, you know that fortune-teller next door to you is a fraud, right? A few days ago, one of her former clients came over to make a scene and exposed her. She gets all her readings from gossiping with the aunties and uncles in her clients' residential compounds ahead of time! Just look at the state of the world..."
Yu Xin asked, "So that old woman is a fortune-teller too?"
"That's right! She was the one who came up with your cat's name!"
Yu Xin: "..." So this is the secret you can't tell me?
