Ten years ago, Wu Yun died once.
She once looked into the eyes of a god and glimpsed a corner of an indescribable world.
Ten years later, that world came to ours.
In her dreams, the campus she knew so well by day became strange. Silent creatures crawled around in the lab's petri dishes. Blood flooded the storeroom in the cafeteria, and twisted shadows appeared in the water pooled on the bathroom ceiling.
What had once been a familiar nightmare became a deadly game with no way out. Panicked, clueless students; rules that had to be followed, yet overlapped and contradicted one another; the gaze of unspeakable things... In this fertile ground for all manner of malice, it smiled at the players.
It said:
"Welcome to my game."
When Wu Yun saw so many unfamiliar students stumble into her dream, she knew things had gone terribly wrong.
Question: If dreams are expressions of the subconscious, what's scarier: having someone search through every corner of your XXX cloud drive, or having a bunch of strangers watch you, barge into your dream, start a forum to call the dreamer a pervert, and discuss how to clear your nightmare?
Answer: Obviously, the scariest thing is that even you might not survive your own dream.
The intervention of an unknown anomaly sent the nightmare spiraling out of control. Strange new rules further warped the dream, which even began to invade the real world. The dream's creator was put on the same scales as the prey, and the only thing she could rely on was her innate ability, the one she had possessed from the very beginning:
"Dreamweaving."
Worried the players might wander off, she shared a walkthrough on the forum.
Unable to obey every rule, she wrote her own laws.
Unable to defeat the boss, she... became the boss herself.
...That's perfectly logical, right?
