Zhou Nan was reborn, transformed from a delicate young lady of ancient times into a village beauty in the 1970s.
First, her reborn cousin stole her sweetheart. Then a young hoodlum pulled her out of the river, ruining her reputation.
With no other choice, Zhou Nan had to marry the hoodlum.
Ji Pengtao was the young hoodlum the villagers talked about. He'd grown up without a father or mother, adopted by an old hunter, and learned from a young age the importance of playing the fool while keeping his claws sheathed.
His only flaw was being stingy. No one could get a single cent out of him!
Years later, the miser stared pensively at the tin box already stuffed with IOUs.
His wife always borrowed from him and never paid him back. Had he been swindled out of everything without a fight?
Author's Note:
1. The heroine grows over the course of the story. At first, she's a delicate, useless little thing. She'll change later on, but she'll always be a spendthrift. The hero is stingy from beginning to end, but generous with his family. He says one thing but means another!
2. This is my first story, so I went a little wild with the money details. It's too late to change them now, so please bear with me. I'll be more careful in my next story! ^_^
Please follow my upcoming story: Reborn as a Foolish Young Lady in the Republican Era
Song Zhoucheng is the only son of a general. His father wants to send him to the battlefield, so he wants him to marry early and give the Song family an heir.
He was originally engaged to the merchant guild chairman's younger daughter, but on the wedding day, he discovered that the bride sent over was the elder daughter, Lin Zhi'ai.
Looking at Lin Zhi'ai's bewildered face, Song Zhoucheng gave a soft laugh. "Your Lin family sure has some nerve, sending a little fool like you over. Aren't you afraid our general's residence will come after you?"
Lin Zhi'ai furrowed her brow, her voice soft and sweet, with a hint of anger. "I'm not a little fool!"
Song Zhoucheng found it amusing. "Only fools refuse to admit they're fools."
Lin Zhi'ai turned to look at Song Zhoucheng and retorted, "Then are you a fool?"
Song Zhoucheng: "..."
What Song Zhoucheng didn't know was that Lin Zhi'ai, the girl he kept calling a little fool, had originally been a princess of a fallen kingdom. She had thrown herself from the city walls to die for her country, only to transmigrate into the body of a foolish young lady in the Republican era.
Influenced by the little fool, Lin Zhi'ai always felt that her mind was slow and she took a long time to react. But that was all right. She believed she'd become clever one day.
Years later, Song Zhoucheng still had one question on his mind: What had he been thinking back then, keeping that little fool around?
She demanded the best food and the best clothes, forcing him to strive for success. She wasn't a little fool at all, but a little empress!
But if he were asked to let her go now, he couldn't bear to. He'd spoiled her, and he'd keep spoiling her even if he had to do it on his knees.
Theme: If the ending isn't what you hoped for, fight with all your might before the dust settles.
I hope there will be more extras, covering multiple time periods. This is one of the few chronological novels that I have been able to finish continuously! Serious yet a little funny, it's really good to watch! When did Zhou Nan remember what happened before she fell into the water? It would be interesting to see her parents and her when they were little! When will the child adopter be chosen?!!
I don't know why some articles start out very well but I can't follow it, but this article doesn't. The plot is really coherent.
I hope there will be a follow-up between my sister and Ji Pengtao, I want to see it!!!
Very nice and interesting
It was well written, but it stopped abruptly. It would have been nice if there were more.
It's so beautiful. I finished it in one day today.
Will there be more educated youth female supporting roles this month?
Can you update your adopted sister's life?
Happy ending~ (I just feel like it's not over yet)
