From the day Ni Chu met Chi Mu, she was unable to stop herself.
Plenty of people who knew Chi Mu told her he was a mad dog, that beneath his handsome exterior lurked wild, unrestrained evil. They warned her not to be deceived by his looks.
But she was determined to keep pushing him to the limit.
She dared to go home with him, dared to corner him at the end of an alley and ask if she looked pretty today, and even dared to mess around with his precious electric guitar, doing whatever she pleased just to see him get flustered.
He gripped her wrist and asked what gave her the right. When she answered, "Because you like me," he let go and stepped back, laughing recklessly.
"Ni Chu, you're saying that too soon."
"Not soon at all."
"Chi Mu, unless you dare say you don't like me."
He didn't dare.
He took care of every problem for her and got hurt for her. He wanted to shout his love for her in the throes of passion.
Even if they walked a thorny road, they didn't care if the thorns pierced their feet. They would live this way together.
"Ni Chu, I'll make sure you look radiant every step of the way."
"That's hard."
"It's not hard. Walk forward boldly. I'll be here to catch you and pave the road ahead."
Chi Mu wanted to be Ni Chu's confidence, to make sure she would always hold her head high, even when she cried, it would be from laughing.
