I'm Really Not the Mastermind

Shen Ai transmigrated into a game she'd played, The Distillery Boss Simulator. The bad news: She had transmigrated bodily, with no account, skills, or saved game. Her only cheat was a language cheat. Apart from that, she was a blank slate. The good news: The System told her that if she could get herself killed by someone once in the game, she'd be able to escape the game and return to the real world. That should be easy!! Shen Ai began her career of desperately courting death. She jumped from a building, but the building exploded. She jumped into a river, but someone saved her. She tried hanging herself, but the rope broke. She took pills, but they were fake... System: Someone must kill you deliberately, with full hatred. Shen Ai: ? Fine. Then she began trying even harder to get herself killed. To her direct superior, she followed the rules: When the boss opens the door, she gets in the car. When the boss fires a gun, she sings. When the boss has private business, she blabs. When the boss speaks, she chats. With the other members of the organization, she was determined to stop anything that benefited the organization and support anything that harmed it! So why did every one of you start looking at me with such reverence? * Gin had a deepest, unspeakable nightmare. In one loop after another, he witnessed how that person toyed with the sun and moon, took the organization into her hands, and accomplished everything she set her mind to. There was no one she couldn't defeat. If she wanted, she could destroy, toy with, and seize the entire world as she pleased. Through countless rounds of resistance and battle, he could only become her captive and spoils of war. When he opened his eyes again, he saw her: seemingly innocent and with nowhere to go. This time, Gin decided to get inside the Demon King's mind and find the true way to defeat her. ... Then he realized, was something wrong with this person? * Shen Ai in the eyes of the organization: Mysterious figure favored by Gin - unfathomable great demon king Shen Ai in the eyes of the undercover cops: Unfathomable great demon king - great demon king of unknown attributes Shen Ai in Gin's eyes: … [A mass of corrupted text] Shen Ai in her own eyes: Come on, I'm really not the mastermind behind everything!!!! * Shen Ai: Fine, let me introduce myself again. I'm Shen Ai, an ordinary member of the organization, codename Ethanol (Gin: It's Martini!), uh, no, Yakult (Gin: Martini!!), oh, right, Martini (Gin draws his gun). My current goal is to escape the game. After all sorts of this and that, I somehow... became the boss of the distillery!! [Reading Guide] 1. Gin remembers the game events from the heroine's previous N playthroughs. 2. Misunderstandings abound. The heroine's identity is never exposed. 3. The heroine talks a lot: nonsense, crazy talk, all of it. She's a fan of unhinged stories, and her talk-therapy buff comes online from time to time.
